Bruce Dickinson has a long-held passion for flying and earned a commercial pilot´s licence in Florida in the Nineties. He flew Iron Maiden in a personalised Boeing 757 on tour in 2008-09. In June he reportedly bought a Boeing 737.

Bruce Dickinson, 57, is chairman of aircraft dealership Aeris Aviation (joined the board of European Eclipse distributor Aeris Aviation late in 2013 as non-executive chairman), which is running the pop-up in the store Harrods this month, offering special-edition Harrods jets.

Guy Cheston, director of Harrods Media claimed to be happy in a name of Harrods to be collaborating with Aeris Aviation via Bruce Dickinson on a unique product such as the Aeris Eclipse 550 personal jet.
Already, in June was announced by Cardiff Aviation via Chairman Bruce Dickinson the launching of new airline.
The airline, operating under the VVB brand, is in the process of acquiring an European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) operating licence. The first aircraft to join the airline will be a 737-400 which will go straight into Aircraft, Complete Crew, Maintenance & Insurance (ACMI) operations. Cardiff Aviation is also providing pilots & cabin crew to support the aircraft, with MRO work to be carried out at the company´s military-grade facilities at St. Athan in South Wales. One of Cardiff Aviation´s plans for the future involves completion work on Boeing BBJs, with the company currently bidding for its first contract.(Cardiff Aviation)
