USPA NEWS - Since 1990, the Dinard British Film Festival and British Film Production have a similar progression. While the number of films produced in the United Kingdom doubled during this period, the Festival has seen its renown and attendance growing...
The Dinard British Film Festival's goal is to be a vector for all the films aiming to conquer the european market. The Festival is also a launching-place for previews. All started, in 1840's and 50's, a handfull of British aristocrats fell in love with Dinard. Many hotels and villas were built by them. Over 400 buildings still remain today and were recently classified as Historical Monuments. Dinard offers boasts an all-year-round, busy agenda....



This year's Edition will have Jean ROCHEFORT (famous french Actor) as President of the Jury. After Catherine DENEUVE (Iconic French Actress) in 2014, he will head the Jury awarding the Golden Hichcock of the 26th British Film Festival.
TRIBUTES :

- Hanish KUREISHI : Film Director, Author and Screenwriter. He notably wrote screenplays for Roger MICHEL and Stephen FREARS.

- Gary LEWIS : key figure in British Film, appearing in "Gangs of New york", "Billy Elliot", "Joyeux Noël", "Goal !", "The Dream Begins" and in Nicolas Winding Refn's "Valhalla Rising".

Several films have already been confirmed in all categories :

- Director Roger Michell with his two last productions "The Lost Honour" and "Birthday".
- Duane Hopkins will present "Bypass"
- Nick Love "American Hero"
- Andrew Haigh "45 years"
- Naill Heery « Breaking the Bank »

- Craig Roberts "Just Jim"
- Simon Blake " Still"
- Stephen Fingleton "The Survivalist"
- Rania Campbell "Lapse of Honour"
- Owen Harris "Kill Your Friends"

Acting as a showcase, the Festival will feature about thirty competition as well as out-of-competition films and preview screenings. The programne is a mix of comedies, thrillers, romantic films and dramas.
