The French Fashion Week Haute Couture is based in the capital city PARIS. It represents the best International Designers showcasing their collections twice a year (Spring - Summer & Fall - Winter. The term haute Couture reffered to Englishman Charles Frederick Worth's work, produced in Paris in the mid-nineteenth century. Nowadays, it is a protected name used only by designers meeting well-defined standards. Nevertheless, it is also describing all high-fashion custom-fitted clothing, wherever it is produced (Paris, London, Milan, New York, Tokyo,...)
France is part of the leading countries with Italy, Germany, Japan, United Kingdom and USA in Fashion Industry. France is famous for its Haute Couture and Prêt-à-Porter (Ready-to-Wear) and Paris is the home of worldwide famous Designers such as Céline, Hermès, Chanel, Rochas, Christian Dior, Yves Saint-Laurent, Vuitton, Pierre Cardin, Lanvin,...
Many cities are hosting well-known french beauty houses like Guerlain, Clarins, Vichy, Lancôme, L'Oreal. Billionaires, celebrities, personalities have one or more properties in south of France in cities like Nice, Cannes, Saint-Tropez, Monaco.
The fabrics available to the Couture House would be very luxurious and include the latest novelties. Outside specialists make accessories to compliment them.
